Description: Stranraer to Kirkcudbright non – stop

Ever wanted to sail on Scotland’s south coast?, then join us for this delivery trip.  Start the trip off when you join the yacht at Stranraer marina on the 15th August from 19:00.  Sailing out from Loch Ryan on the 16th September on our first generation Clipper 60 we will head South along the coast of Scotland before turning east and heading for the river Dee and Kirkcudbright.  Sailing will be planned to arrive on the rising tide to navigate the river and it’s stunning surroundings as safely as possible.

We will be planning an early start from Stranraer so expect to enjoy the sunrise as we leave.  Transfer will be provided from Kirkcudbright to Dumfries for bus and rail connections with options of Saturday night and Sunday.  The itinerary be very much weather dependant and may change.  Crew will need to depart the yacht by 12:00 on Sunday 17 September.

 

Cost:

£50 per person inclusive of all onboard costs, non refundable.

 

Proposed Itinerary:

15 September: Yacht open for joining from 18:00 at Stranraer Marina (likely the hammerhead)

16 September: Depart Stranraer at first light

16 September: Expected arrival into Kirkcudbright marina, 19:00

Transfer to Dumfries for the 21:50 train to Glasgow via Kilmarnock

Transfer to Dumfries for the 22:13 train to Carlisle

17 September: Depart the yacht at Kirkcudbright by 12:00

Transfer to Dumfries for the 12:51 train to Glasgow via Kilmarnock

Transfer to Dumfries for the 13:00 train to Carlisle

 

NOTE:
– The cost of this event includes all food, fuel and berthing charges.
– Sailing activity is weather dependent. If conditions are too severe sailing may be postponed, cancelled or the passage plan adjusted.
– Guests need to arrange their own travel to/from the embarkation and disembarkation points which may be different
