Description: Kirkcudbright to Kip

Ever wanted to sail from Scotland’s south coast?, then join us for this delivery trip.  Start the trip off when you join the yacht at Kirkcudbright marina on the river Dee.  The yacht will be open for joining from 16:00 on Thursday 28th September and you will need to join no later than 10:00 on Friday 29th September.  Transiting the river Dee out into the Solway firth on our first generation Clipper 60 we will head west along the coast of Scotland before turning North for the inner Clyde and Kip Marina.  Sailing will be planned to depart on the falling tide to navigate the river and it’s stunning surroundings as safely as possible.  We plan to stop at Stranraer on the Friday evening before continuing to Kip on Saturday.

Transfer can be provided from Dumfries to Kirkcudbright on Thursday Afternoon/Evening for bus and rail arrivals.  The itinerary be very much weather dependant and may change.  Crew will need to depart the yacht by 20:00 on Sunday 1 October.



£50 per person inclusive of all onboard costs, non refundable.


Proposed Itinerary:

28 September: Yacht open for joining from 12:00 at Kirkcudbright Marina

29 September: Kirkcudbright to Stranraer

30 September: Stranraer to Kip

1 October : Departure from the yacht no later than 12:00


– The cost of this event includes all food, fuel and berthing charges.
– Sailing activity is weather dependent. If conditions are too severe sailing may be postponed, cancelled or the passage plan adjusted.
– Guests need to arrange their own travel to/from the embarkation and disembarkation points which may be different
