Description: Orkney, Shetland and the Faroe Isles from Scotland’s west coast

Join us for our newest Challenge in 2018 as we mix adventure and cruising sailing from the west coast of Scotland.  Starting from the Oban area we will begin our trip with a day of sail training as we head towards the waters of the North Atlantic.  After an overnight stop it will be full steam ahead to sail north through the Minch before following the Scottish north coast to the Orkney Islands.  Stopping for a day our next challenge will be to head further north to Scotland’s most northerly outpost of Shetland where we will plan a day ashore.

Next we will see our passage take us outside Scottish waters and onto the stunning Faroe Islands.  With another overnight passage you can expect to experience some night sailing in the North Atlantic.  After a chance to rest and explore ashore the final leg of this trip will see you sailing south for the Minch and the Isle of Lewis before arriving back at Oban.

From Oban you can enjoy one of Scotland’s most scenic railway journeys to Glasgow for international connections and transfer.
