Event Details

Scottish Series 2017

Event ID: May2517CC

Event Type: Closed, Race Crew Only

Event Class: Racing, with time ashore

Event Status: Confirmed

Skipper: Glenn Porter (Subject to change)

Description:

In May the scenic west coast village of Tarbert, Loch Fyne will welcome yachts into the harbour for 4 days of competitive racing.  Why not join owner and Skipper Glenn as we participate in the white sail (or cruising) class passage races on the Friday and Sunday.  Final details of the series will be posted here as they are released but we are expecting a passage race on the Friday and Sunday with time to enjoy the onshore activities or view the racing on Saturday.

Event organisers The Clyde Cruising Club encourage visitors to enjoy the shore side hospitality as well as the fantastic programme of events for yacht sailors. Clyde Crusing Club commented ‘it is a wonderful sight watching the boats muster in the upper Clyde with crews preparing, sails hoisting and adrenaline pumping as the yachts anticipate the start gun. With action close to shore this offers a great opportunity for spectators to catch a glimpse of the excitement of the sport and skills of the sailors.’
