Scotland’s Boat Show 2017
Event ID: Oct1317TC
Come and help us out at Scotland’s Annual boat show in Kip Marina as we welcome guests onboard our yacht and at the onshore stall.
Volunteers are invited to help out manning the stall and showing guests around the yacht during the show and in return earn some volunteer reward days to use towards sailing in 2018. Shifts will be offered from 08:30 – 15:30 (with a break at 11:30 – 12:30) and 11:30 – 18:30 (with a break at 14:30 – 15:30). The early shift will be responsible for setup and the late shift for end of day clearing up.
Each shift will spend half of their time on the stall and half on the yacht.
On The Stall
When manning the stall you will help to engage with the show guests who have an interest in what Scotland’s Clipper 60 does and how they can become involved. You will also assist in guiding potential volunteers through the registration process, signing people up to the mailing list, taking enquiries and bookings for the 2018 schedule and answering questions about the yacht and her operations. There will also be information and “freebies” available to hand out to visitors. We may also be selling various items from the yacht at the show such as clothing.
On The Yacht
A focal point of the “on the water” section of the show Taeping, the first ever Clipper clipper race yacht, will be open for tours throughout the weekend. This has in previous years been a very popular activity for the show guests. You will help guide them safely around the yacht providing some general information on her history and what she does, as well as handing out a small information leaflet to all those who come onboard the yacht.
If you would like to come along and help out please book your preferred slot or slots below. Full training and a health and safety briefing will be provided in advance of the event. We will also re-imburse the costs of car parking on production of a receipt.
Bookings are no longer available for this event.
