Description: Inverkip, Scotland to Reykjavik, Iceland inc Ocean Passage

Join us for a North Atlantic Sailing challenge.  For 2018 we will be returning to the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik for our ocean passage series.  We will also be departing from the Clyde and Taeping’s home of Kip Marina allowing for a couple of days training before hitting the ocean and taking a more southerly route.  To make the trip even more special it will run later in the year in 2018.  With longer nights (although still more daylight than dark hours) we hope to be able to enjoy more of the spectacular night sailing you can expect in the North Atlantic.

Start the trip off when you join the yacht at Inverkip marina on Sunday the 16th September.  After some final prep, safety and operational briefings we will then set off on Monday 17th September with a focus on two days of training underway.  Our proposed route will take us out of the Clyde, round the Mull of Kintyre and into the North Atlantic.  Expecting to take about 6-8 days the passage can be used as a qualifying passage for your YachtMaster Ocean RYA certification (limited places).

Expecting to be moored in Reykjavik by Tuesday the 25th of September you will need to depart the yacht by noon on the 26th September.  Crew can catch international flights from Reykjavik for onward connections or stay on for the return leg.

Expect to do overnight sailing with a watch system in place as we make our way to Iceland.   Ocean awareness training will be provided prior to departure.

£695 (Discounted from 945) per person inclusive of all onboard costs, £250 non refundable deposit.

£475 plus nine volunteer day credits

NOTE: A £150 additional fee will apply to ocean qualifying passage places
