Volunteer crew are invited to join Taeping Clipper for a delivery trip from Stranraer to Belfast.   You can join the yacht at Stranraer marina from 19:00 on the 27th June.  We will then head to Belfast first thing on the 28th June expecting to be berthed by 8pm.   Volunteers will need to be off the yacht by 10am on 29th June unless you are staying on for the St. Kilda Challenge.  Volunteers are responsible for their own travel to Stranraer and back from Belfast.  All onboard costs will be covered by Lewis Learning   Interested, book a berth below.

St. Kilda Challenge and West Coast Scotland Cruise Event ID:  Jun3017CC Skipper (Subject to change): G. Porter Event Type: Public Event, “Open to All” Event Class: Challenge (overnight sailing with a watch system) Event Status: Confirmed Description: Belfast, NI to Oban, Scotland via St. Kilda (with time Ashore) Join us for our annual Bucket List Sailing trip to St. Kilda, departing from Belfast in 2017.  Start the trip off when you join the yacht in the heart of Belfast, at Abercorn Basin on the 29/30th June.  Sailing out of Belfast Lough on our first generation Clipper 60 we will sail to the stunning St. Kilda Archipelago.  Weather permitting we will spend a day at Anchor allowing guests to spend some time ashore in this amazing historical location. Expect to do overnight sailing with a watch system in place as we make our way to the islands.  Following time on St. Kilda we will head to Oban aiming to arrive overnight on the 5/6 July.  Guests can expect to depart by 12:00 on 6 July. Icelandic Challenge Ocean Passage Northbound Event ID:  Jul0817CC Skipper (Subject to change): G. Porter Event Type: Public Event, Open to All Event Class: Challenge (overnight sailing with a watch system) Event Status: Confirmed Description: Oban, Scotland to Isafjordur, Iceland Ocean Passage Join us for a North Atlantic Sailing challenge.  Start the trip off when you join the yacht in Oban on Saturday 8th July.  After some final prep we will then sail out via the sound of Mull on Sunday 9th July and through the Outer Hebrides into the open waters of the Atlantic on our way to Iceland.    Expecting to take about 5-7 days the passage can be used as a qualifying passage for your YachtMaster Ocean RYA certification. After our ocean crossing we will head up the west coast of Iceland to Isafjordur, stopping off at some of Iceland’s amazing Fjords on our journey.  We expect to have a total sailing distance in the region of 1000 Nm during this trip. Expecting to be moored in Isafjordur on the 16th July guests can catch the morning flight to Reykjavik on the 17th for onward connections or stay on for the return leg via the Faroe Islands.   Expect to do overnight sailing with a watch system in place as we make our way to Iceland.  Guests will need to depart by 12:00 on 17 July.   Cost: £840 per person inclusive of all onboard costs, £200 non refundable deposit. Porter Event Type: Public Event, Open to All Event Class: Cruise (Day sails with limited overnight sailing in a watch system) Event Status: Confirmed Description: Isafjordur, Iceland to Faroe Islands cruise, including Ocean Passage Join us for a North Atlantic cruise from Iceland to the Faroe Islands on Scotland’s Clipper 60.  Start the trip off when you join the yacht in Isafjordur in the Icelandic North Western Fjords on Thursday 20th July.  After some final prep and familiarisation we will sail out to explore some of the western Fjords before heading along the North coast of Iceland.  We will then then follow the east coast before heading for the Faroe Islands across the open waters of the North Atlantic.   Expect to do a mix of day sails with some overnight sailing with a watch system in place as we make our way to the Faroe Islands.  Guests will need to depart by 12:00 on 27 July. Cost: £630 per person inclusive of all onboard costs, £200 non refundable deposit. Expect to do a mix of day sails and some overnight sailing with a watch system in place as we make our way from the Faroe Islands to Scotland’s west coast.
